Kraken Cleaning reserve the right to make any changes to it's terms without notice. These terms and conditions are the most updated and supersede any other issue.
How often will we visit?
We offer the choice of every 4 or 8 weekly visits. We ask for some flexibility on time scales due to rain and other factors.
We will always try to not clean windows in the rain, however we do still work in light rain or short showers. Our promise to you is that the results will still be the same. If rain is heavy and constant we will not clean your windows. Your clean will carry over to the next working day.
Turning us away
We will try to be as reliable as we can for you, but we also appreciate the customer being reliable. We will make time and space in our schedual availiable for you. On the day of the clean it is too late for us to replace your clean with another. We reserve the right if turning our team away at the door or cancelling on the day with our office, to charge you the full price expected and/or cancel any ongoing service with us.
Ending our services
If for one reason or another you should wish to cancel our services you have the right to do so at any time. This can be done by telephone on 07783450322 or by email to
However we do not offer one off window cleans if you wish to cancel before your third clean a cancellation charge of £30.00 or the value of the remaining cleans will be payable (whichever greater) if cancelled before the third clean has taken place.
We will always try to provide you with the best possible service every time we clean your windows. If for any reason you are not satisfied with our work, you must contact us within 24 hours of the clean. We will then return the next working day to re clean your windows for free. Please note that complaints made after 24 hours may not be re cleaned.
All customer information is kept on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company, as is required under the terms and conditions of the data protection act.
All payments must be made in full within 7 days of the clean date. If payments have not been made in full after 30 days, we will pass the details of the customer to a debt collection agency to recover on our behalf. An additional £10.00 will be added to the debt to cover collection costs.
Reach and Wash Window Cleaning
We will be using the reach and wash system to access and clean all of your windows. This method uses only purified water and no chemicals or detergents making it 100% safe for people, plants, pet’s, children and the environment it is used in. The water is purified at our base and transported with us in our vans. We will arrive with all the equipment we need to carry out this work. Our purified water is pumped from the van along hose lines and up telescopic poles, which we use to scrub dirt from your frames, sills and glass. All we ask is that access around your property is available and that all your windows and doors are closed. Once cleaned, surfaces are left to dry naturally as is normal in this method, because the water is so pure it dries leaving no marks at all.
We are able to clean to a height of 4-5 storeys or 60ft. We are only able to clean along a clear line of sight, some angles or high recessed surfaces my not be possible to clean. We also use this method to clean conservatory roofs and fascia and soffits.
Traditional squeegees and ladder
Sometimes, it is still appropriate to use traditional methods in modern day window cleaning. If insides are required, we use squeegee and soapy water to clean. If we do clean your windows inside we require you to clear windowsills and obstructive furniture so we can continue with our work efficiently and safely. Sometimes, we need to access low-level flat roofs in order to carry out work. We will use a ladder to gain this access.
Gutter Clearing with industrial Vacuum.
By using a vacuum we are able to clear your gutters from the ground and reach difficult angles and heights that a ladder can not. We will use a powerful wet and dry vacuum, which reaches, from the ground up and into your gutting to a maximum height of 40 feet. All the waste is sucked out of the gutters and into the machine just like when you vacuum your carpets. When we have finished the waste is taken away with us. Although the machine is powered electrically we will bring our own generator.
Our company and public liability insurance is specialist for cleaning companies using the Reach and Wash System, our level of cover for public liability is £5 million.
Text message before we come
You may wish to be contacted each time the day before we come for access or other reasons. We will text alert you at 7pm the evening before we are due.
All fragile and breakable items must be secured or removed by the customer before any works are carried out. Heavy items may not be moved due to Health & safety and in this case Kraken Cleaning will clean around the furniture. Furniture is not designed to be moved with extra weight on them. Therefore Kraken Cleaning will not be held responsible for any damage if the customer insists on heavy furniture being moved. Moving items with added weight can cause legs to break etc.
Kraken Cleaning carpet cleaning systems involve using water to flush away soil and grease particles. Carpets can be walked on immediately after cleaning as long as clean footwear is used. Drying times vary according to air flow, soil condition and fiber/backing content. Drying times usually vary from between 1 and 72 hours but 4 hours is the average.
Great care and attention to detail will be taken when Kraken Cleaning clean and condition upholstery. A very thorough deep down clean is used to achieve the very best possible safe results. Although only cold to the touch upholstery should be left at least 24 hours before using again.
Stain removal & home cleaning methods
Kraken Cleaning can not be held responsible for the results achieved when customers have attempted home cleaning methods. Kraken Cleaning use the best industry standard cleaning systems, specially formulated chemicals, advanced machinery and know-how to get the very best safe results. Results may be limited due to wicking and setting of stains by home cleaning methods of which the customer agrees not to hold Kraken Cleaning responsible. Kraken Cleaning can not be held responsible for and do not guarantee any and or complete removal of stains because the stains may have discolored the fibers.
Kraken Cleaning use industry standard cleaning methods and can not be held responsible if any kind of odour occurs during the operation. For example old urine stains can sometimes be reactivated.
Dimensional change may occur when carpets and upholstery are mainly constructed of natural fibers. Kraken Cleaning will take every care not to shrink items cleaned but can not be held responsible due to poorly fitted, replaced carpets, edgings and seams. Please note Wilton and woven carpets require being fitted with double grippers and if not Kraken Cleaning can not be held responsible. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all edges and seams are correctly fitted before any cleaning is carried out. Kraken Cleaning will not be responsible for the pre-existing deterioration of carpet backings, adhesive tapes and glues.
Please note Kraken Cleaning can not be held responsible for problems occurring if cleaning is carried out on top of Parque or wooden sheets of flooring.
Kraken Cleaning can not be held responsible for: urine contamination, age and deterioration, marks that wick to the surface, migrating dyes and loss of luster. Shrinkage, stain removal, water marking, yellowing and wear and tear.
Care and attention is given to the application of our flea insecticides. Kraken Cleaning will make additional charges if more than one application is required.
The customer agrees that any claims will be based on the current value of the article taking wear and tear into account. Kraken Cleaning require 5 days notice in writing after any works carried out. Claims after this period will not be entertained.
In the unlikely event of a customer not being happy with works carried out then Kraken Cleaning request to be allowed to return and re-clean again at no charge . If Kraken Cleaning can not make the agreed appointment then Kraken Cleaning will advise the customer as soon as possible with the reasons why and the customer agrees Kraken Cleaning will not be responsible for inconvenience or loss of profit.
We always endeavour to provide the best service and products for our customers. However, on rare occations, we recognise that there may be times where our customers may not be completely satisfied.
To ensure we are able to put things right as soon as we can, please read our complaints procedure below and we will respond promptly to ensure complete satisfaction.
As soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out to our usual high standards.
